Young Adults / Palo Alto

Is there a church in Palo Alto for Gen Z and Young Adults?

Young Adults are leaders at UAMEZ, involved in ministries throughout the church. You'll meet many on Sunday, worshiping, serving, and helping shape our life together. There's always a place for you here.

Part of the whole church

You belong here.
You help lead here.

Young Adults are not a separate program at UAMEZ. They are an integral part of our community, leading and serving alongside people of every generation across our ministries.

UAMEZ is a historically Black, multicultural church. Whether you are studying, working, raising children, or figuring out what comes next, there is a place for you to worship, contribute, and grow with us.

Start where you are

How can young adults connect?

There is no prerequisite to believe, no need to know the words, and no expectation to arrive with a friend.

Can I come with my questions
and my whole life?

You do not need to have faith figured out before you find community.

Friends sit close together and smile on a bench outside the church.

Getting here / from campus & beyond

No car? Can we talk?

Getting to church should not have to be the reason you stay home. If you are a student wondering about a ride, email us to ask what might be available. We can talk through options; a ride is not guaranteed.

Ask about a ride

Email ride@uamez.com with a general question. Please do not send a pickup address on this page. You can also ask about transit options before you visit.

Faith in the middle of real life

Does my work matter
without being all I am?

What does faith have to say about ambition, technology, burnout, identity, or purpose? These are questions worth bringing into the open, not leaving at the door.

Is creativity part of your calling? We value creative people, give credit for their contributions, and support their creative ventures. Explore how your gifts can help share the story of Christ.

Before you come

What questions should I ask?

There is room for the honest ones.

Do I have to be a Christian?

No. You are welcome with questions, whether you are returning to church after years away or you have never been before.

Is this only for single people?

No. Single, married, dating, with children or without children: there is no one life stage you need to be in to come.

Is this a separate Young-Adult program?

No. Young Adults are an integral part of the whole church, leading and serving across its ministries. Our Young-Adult small group is one additional way to connect, not the limit of your involvement.

When does the Young-Adult small group meet?

The published fall 2026 schedule may no longer be current. Email us to ask when the small group is meeting now.

What if I cannot get there easily?

Email ride@uamez.com to ask about possible ride options. Please confirm arrangements with the church before relying on a ride.

The first step can be simple

Is there a seat for me here?

Come on a Sunday. Stay for a conversation. You do not have to have a plan for everything that comes after.
