Small groups at UAMEZ

How Do I Find a Small Group in Palo Alto?

It is easier to feel at home when someone knows your name. Small groups make room for real conversation, scripture, prayer, and the kind of friendship that grows beyond Sunday.

Fall registration has closed. Call (650) 272-6742 or email info@uamez.com and we'll help you find a group.

More than a Sunday hello

Where can I be known and know others?

UAMEZ is a historically Black, multicultural church in Palo Alto. There is room here for your story, your questions, and the life you are living right now.

New visitors are welcome. You do not have to arrive with a friend or know how a small group works before you walk in.

What happens in a group?

What happens in a small group?

Fall groups typically bring 10 to 15 people together for a ten-week season, with a leader in every room. There is a rhythm, but no pressure to have polished answers.

  1. How do we come together?

See familiar faces again, learn names, and make space for what is happening in each other's lives.

  2. Do we talk about scripture?

Listen, ask honest questions, and have a conversation about faith that carries into the rest of the week.

  3. Do we pray for one another?

Share what you want to share. Someone is there to lead the gathering and help everyone feel included.

People sit and talk together on wooden benches in the church courtyard.
