SUNDAYS, 10:00 AM

90 MINUTES

One service, every Sunday, same time.

We start at 10:00 AM and we're done at 11:30 AM.

Children's ministry (Amazing Kids) meet during service, so you wouldn't have to choose between the two.

WHO WE ARE

UAMEZ stands for University African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. We're a historically Black church, and our congregation comes from many different backgrounds. At UAMEZ we're close like family and we look after each other. We've been in the Bay Area for over 100 years, and we're part of the AME Zion tradition, long called the Freedom Church.

WHAT'S SERVICE LIKE?

Our worship gatherings are warm, expressive, and full of soul.

We open with gospel music. The whole room sings, and you can feel the Holy Spirit moving through the sanctuary. Prayer is where we get honest, and we lay out our doubts and anything else on our minds. Nobody is judging.

In the preaching, expect teaching from scripture and encouragement you can implement in daily life. Our hope is to share the Word of God and to remind you that you are enough.

Come sit with us this Sunday.

LOCATION

3549 Middlefield Rd., Palo Alto, CA 94306

We're at the corner of Middlefield and Christine. Pull into the lot and our team will greet you as soon as you make it to the courtyard.

HERE'S WHAT TO EXPECT

PARKING

Our lot holds about 50 cars, including 5 accessible spaces. If the lot is full, there's plenty of street parking on Christine Dr., right around the corner.

Getting dropped off? Pull right up to the pathway that leads into the courtyard.

And if anyone in your car could use a hand (a walker, a stroller, an elderly parent) our Guest Experience team will meet you at the curb and walk you to your seat.

ARRIVING AT UAMEZ

Look for the navy booth in the courtyard. That's our Welcome Center, and our team will be there to greet you. Come early and say hi. It's one of our favorite parts of the day and a great time to meet people. We'll walk you to your seat when you're ready.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY (AMAZING KIDS)

Our children's ministry (Amazing Kids) meets at 10:00 AM. We have programs for different age groups. Little Lambs is kindergarten through 2nd grade, and Promised Kids is 3rd through 6th. Kids sing, do arts and crafts, and learn about stories from the Bible, often through hands-on experiments.

KIDS CHECK-IN

Check-in is at the Amazing Kids counter in the courtyard, beside the main entrance, and opens 30 minutes before service. We'll walk you through the whole process. Children go straight to their own space right after check-in.

Every Amazing Kids volunteer is background-checked. No exceptions.

BABIES AND TODDLER

We don't have a nursery. Babies and toddlers are welcome to stay with their families during service. If you need a quieter spot, the Little House is across the courtyard with service live-streamed. Changing table available. Strollers park on the left side of the sanctuary.
