A little more room to get to know us

What Is Next Steps at UAMEZ Church?

Next Steps is a three-session introduction to UAMEZ that gives you the information to decide whether you want to become a member.

Each 30-minute session meets on Sunday in the Fireside Room, beside the sanctuary in the courtyard, starting 15 minutes after service.

Just walk in any Sunday. No signup needed.

Who it's for

Who is Next Steps for?

If you've been to a Sunday or two and want to go a little further, this is for you.

You don't have to be a member. You don't have to have your faith, your gifts, or your future at church all figured out.

The three-Sunday path

When can I start Next Steps?

There's one step each Sunday, and the three-step series repeats all year. Start with whichever step is happening when you're ready, then finish the series within three weeks.

  1. Who are we?

Hear who UAMEZ is, why we exist, and what a church family can do for your life right now.

  2. How did God make you?

Take a short spiritual gifts assessment. Learn a little more about how you're wired and why it matters.

  3. Where do you fit?

Choose one Sunday team to try. It's a chance to see what fits, not a lifetime assignment.

The room, not a classroom

How long is it, and is there space to talk?

Each session has the same easy rhythm: a short video, conversation with a host, and one clear next step. There's room to ask questions along the way.

  1. 01 A short video
  2. 02 A conversation with a host
  3. 03 One clear next step

After the third step

Will I be left to figure it out alone?

Trying a team should feel like meeting people, not signing your Sundays away.

  1. What happens within 48 hours?

A Next Steps leader reaches out to welcome you to your team and set up your first Sunday.

  2. What happens in my first few Sundays?

After completing Next Steps, you'll shadow someone on the team for your first few Sundays before committing to a role.

Life beyond the room

Where does connection go after Next Steps?

Next Steps is a beginning. Here are some of the ways connection keeps growing at UAMEZ.

01

Small groups

Get to know a smaller circle of people and keep showing up for one another.

03

Team Amazing

Bring your gifts to a Sunday team, with someone beside you while you learn. Explore serving teams.

Good questions welcome

What might you be wondering?

No need to know the right words before you begin.

Do I have to be a church member?

No. Next Steps is open to anyone who wants to get to know UAMEZ more deeply. Next Steps gives you the information to decide whether you want to become a member. Completing the three sessions does not automatically make you a church member; joining is a separate decision.

Do I have to start with step one?

No. There's one step each Sunday, and the series repeats all year. You can start with whichever step is happening when you're ready and finish within three weeks.

Where do I go after worship?

Head to the Fireside Room beside the sanctuary in the courtyard. Next Steps begins 15 minutes after service and lasts about 30 minutes. You can walk in without signing up.

Am I committing to a team right away?

No. At step three you choose one Sunday team to try, not a lifetime assignment. After completing Next Steps, you'll shadow someone for your first few Sundays before committing. Church membership is not required to serve.

Whenever you're ready

Will you come to Sunday and stay for a conversation?

Worship with us first. Then walk into the Fireside Room beside the sanctuary in the courtyard, 15 minutes after service. Next Steps meets every Sunday, and there's no signup needed.
