Description
Between the news cycle, social media and plans that fell apart, it can be hard to believe that all things work together for good. Romans 8:28 rests on God's love you have already seen in your own life, and his good is often better than the good you wanted. Some closed doors were God protecting you, and he made you for a purpose. In this sermon, Pastor Kaloma Smith of UAMEZ Church in Palo Alto, California preaches on Romans 8:28 and shows how the words God and good frame the verse. It was preached on Aug 28, 2022, alongside more than a thousand pastors preaching this verse that day. Questions this sermon answers What does all things work together for good mean? It means God works through every part of life for those who love him, and you can trust that because of what his love has already done for you. Why did God close that door? Sometimes the job, partner or plan you wanted would have hurt you, and God's idea of good is bigger than yours. What does called according to his purpose mean? God designed you on purpose, and as you follow Jesus he shows you that purpose. How do I remember God's faithfulness when life is hard? Write down what God has done for you, so you can see his record when today feels impossible.
