Description

No. AI is a very large body of data paired with a pattern engine trained to predict the next word; it has no will, no soul and no witness of the Holy Spirit, and it is not made in the image of God. Like the sons of Issachar in 1 Chronicles 12:32, the church has to read its moment clearly: use the tool, refuse to worship it, and never let a machine define what a human being is worth. A few miles from this sanctuary, Stanford's first president wrote books arguing the wrong people were reproducing. The smartest institutions in America agreed, and they were wrong. Pastor Kaloma Smith of UAMEZ Church in Palo Alto asks what we're being asked to believe right now that our grandchildren will have to take somebody's name off a building for. Chapters 0:00 Prayer for understanding of the times 1:59 Who was Stanford's first president? 3:33 What was eugenics? 6:47 When the experts all agreed 9:20 Who paid for it? 13:11 Who were the sons of Issachar? 20:29 What is actually in front of us? 22:07 What is AI, really? 24:14 Why do we treat machines like people? 26:50 Does AI have a soul? 30:36 What should the church say no to? 34:26 What can the church never outsource? 40:20 How should Christians use AI? 46:45 Can AI replace the Holy Spirit? 49:14 Why keep a Sabbath from the screen?
