Description
If you're tired of waiting on God for the job or the relationship, this sermon is for you. The waiting season is often where God takes off the weight you were never meant to carry. Money and a fresh start somewhere new cannot save you, so pray before you dive in and wait with God instead of with comparison and social media. In this sermon, Pastor Kaloma Smith of UAMEZ Church in Palo Alto, California preaches on Psalm 33:14-22 and shows why the things we trust while we wait cannot rescue us. Preached in August 2022, close to his ninth anniversary as pastor of UAMEZ. Questions this sermon answers What does the Bible say about waiting on God? Psalm 33 says a king is not saved by his army and a war horse is a false hope, but the Lord watches over those who hope in his steadfast love. Why is waiting on God so hard? We live in a culture that expects quick results and constant comparison, so we rush into jobs and relationships before we pray. Will a new job or a move fix what I'm going through? It will not fix it by itself, because wherever you go, you bring yourself, so ask God to heal what is inside first. Is the wait worth it? Yes. While you wait, God brings people and blessings into your life that you never knew you needed.
