Description

You may have said Our Father who art in heaven a hundred times without stopping to ask what it means for your prayers today. Those first words tell you who you are praying to: one God who is yours, who loves you like a perfect Father. Heaven reminds you that this God has the position and power to help, and that he keeps his promises. In this sermon, Pastor Kaloma Smith of UAMEZ Church in Palo Alto, California preaches on Matthew 6:9 and shows why the opening line of the Lord's Prayer makes Christian prayer different from wishing. Preached in October 2021 as the first sermon in a series on prayer. Questions this sermon answers What does Our Father in heaven mean?
