Sermon by Pastor Kaloma Smith | December 28, 2025 | UAMEZ Church, Palo Alto
It's limbo week between Christmas and New Year. The adrenaline is worn off. From Hebrews 4:16, this is not a resolution but a destination—the throne of grace where you can find mercy and grace in your time of need.
Confidence From Who Sits on the Throne
The verse starts with "us"—not the faithful or the righteous. Confidence comes not from your consistency but from His. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. When everything in you is shaking, He is unmoved.
Mercy for the Past, Grace for the Future
We receive mercy—which covers the past, what we don't deserve—and we find grace—which fuels the future, strength we don't deserve. The throne doesn't move. Politics change, the economy fluctuates, but the throne of grace stays steady.
