Who can be baptized at UAMEZ Church?

Anyone who wants to follow Jesus can be baptized, at any age. We baptize kids, Gen Z, college students, parents, and grandparents. Parents can bring their infants.

You do not need to have it all figured out. You need to want to take the step.

What if I am not sure I am ready to be baptized?

Come talk it through at Next Steps, which meets every Sunday in the Fireside Room, starting 15 minutes after worship and lasting 30 minutes.

Ask for Sister Alicia, Sister Tracy, or Clarence. They will not rush you. You can also call Pastor at (650) 272-6742.

How does my child get baptized?

Your child can tell their Amazing Kids teacher in class, and then your family can talk with us at Next Steps after worship.

What happens on Baptism Sunday?

Baptism happens during 10:00 AM worship, in front of the people who will cheer for you and pray for you after.

At UAMEZ, baptism may be by sprinkling, pouring, or immersion. If you have a question or preference about the way it happens, tell us. We can explain each one before you take the step.

For immersion, bring a dark t-shirt, dark shorts or leggings, a towel, a change of clothes, and a bag for wet things. For sprinkling or pouring, wear your regular church clothes. Ask us if you need help planning.

When are baptisms held at UAMEZ Church?

Baptisms are usually held on the second Sunday from March through October. Please contact the church to confirm the next opportunity.

Baptism Sunday on October 18, 2026, is a one-time exception to that regular schedule.
